Artshow

  • You can now search pieces by piece ID
  • Added quick-shortcut for recording bids from view piece
  • Added quick-shirtcut for checking in from view piece
  • Added checkbox and warning for processing direct sale art while bidding is still happening
  • Added filtering to artwork search
  • Added support for bidder stickers to artshow, including printing
  • Added support for bidder kiosk in art show
  • Made bid-tag barcodes bigger and more readable
  • Added edit buttons to "view piece" for faster editing

Dealers Den

  • Added "List Assistant" tool

Filtering

  • Added filter to be able to filter by a membership reg_num

Payment Processing

  • Able to turn on and off test mode for authorize.net
  • Upgraded PayPal API to include currency setting.
  • Use $_SESSION['98_online_payment']['paypal_button_currency'] in kiosk configuration
  • Corrected bug where PayPal API wasn't recording payment holds properly
  • Upgraded the way PayPal landing page sets its theming

Quicksearch

  • Added many tools to quicksearch, now you can search using a keyword at the beginning of your search (fan:, city:, e: or email:, p: or phone:, country:, membership:, first:, and many others!)

Interface

  • Adds Javascript sortable tables
  • Adds Javascript filtering on tables
  • Removed date/time from index page, since it appears on every page
  • Added the ability for "View reg" page to remember last tab used
  • Added more functionality to "view reg" page
  • Added "Reset security question" to "view reg" page
  • Added "Add to cashier cart" and made it contextually aware as to whether the cash register functionality is available
  • Added ability to edit user defined fields from "view reg" page
  • Added ability to edit a user account from "view reg" page
  • Added ability to review email and security log from "view reg" page
  • Added ability to make private notes on a particular registration
  • Added, removed, and modified HTML tags in pages to work towards proper page validation.
  • Upgraded manage printers, and edit taxes for usability
  • Updated many date picking features with jquery-ui

Legacy Dealers Den

  • Removed legacy dealers den module screen for any event that doesn't already have some part in use

Security

  • Added additional XSS scripting protection
  • Re-removed certain characters from fan name entry
  • Now allows the creation of a username that differs from fan_name
  • Now allows for the expiration of user accounts on a date/time
  • Now allows for mass deactivation of multiple users at once

General

  • Upgraded manual reg entry

Conops

  • Tasks can now be re-opened
  • Able to perform functions such as close, or notes and multiple tasks at the same time
  • The concept of a "log entry" was removed; open then immediately close a task to result in similar functionality
  • "Radios" are now referred to as their item_name rather than number

AUP (Acceptable Use Policy)

  • Changed "Real Name" to "Legal Name"

Browser Support

  • Dropped the support for IE with the adding of jquery-ui theme elements

Database export

  • Upgraded database export to include db name
  • Added a database sanitation script to allow for the creation of training databases with no real information in them
  • Corrected bug id database export that made reference to chmod 777 of __DIR__ file

Database Upgrading

  • Corrected a bug that breaks when changing receipt_columns
  • Upgraded the way a system does DB checking
  • System now checks more regularly for stored procedures, which will restore them when database exports fail to create them

Installer

  • Installer will now run queries rather than using MySQL command line
  • Modified edit events, to edit just the current event
  • Added "New event wizard" to be able to create a new event copying forward some but not all data from a current event
  • Upgraded edit taxes to be easier to use
  • Upgraded edit settings page to be easier to use

Reports

  • Upgraded membership price drilldown
  • Upgraded user defined fields to give summary reports in graph form.

Theming

  • Added functionality of theme.info.php which will give theme folders version information and later add kiosk version information so that we can properly limit selection of theme folders to what they support

Upgrading

Before starting an upgrade, we recommend that you backup your Convention Master database and files.

To perform the upgrade, run a Subversion update in the folder that contains your Convention Master installation: 

$ svn up /path/to/convention_master


When this has completed, log in to the staff console [yoursite.com/console] with an account that has the "Perform DB and System Upgrades" permission to automatically trigger any pending schema updates. DO NOT FORGET THIS STEP, otherwise it will leave your install in a locked upgrade state.
